SOUNZ champions the music of Aotearoa New Zealand
At SOUNZ we believe that New Zealand music enriches our world and our vision is to make New Zealand music widely heard and valued.
SOUNZ maintains and develops a diverse collection of quality New Zealand music resources and makes them available for loan, hire and sale, accessed through SOUNZ online or by visiting us.
We connect performers, presenters, teachers, composers, artistic directors and broadcasters with New Zealand music through our activities and projects.
Our key projects include the SOUNZ Contemporary Award, Resound project, NZ Composer Sessions and SOUNZ Community Commission. We also collaborate with NZ orchestras, ensembles, composers, musicians and other music organisations.
SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music is a charitable trust, governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees.
SOUNZ is a member of the International Association of Music Information Centres IAMIC.
