SOUNZ is a member of the International Association of Music Information Centres (IAMIC), an international network of 34 member countries all over the world. IAMIC member organisations document, promote and inform on the music of their country or region in a diversity of musical genres. IAMIC recognises the importance of sharing and optimising knowledge, expertise and know-how and encourages collaborations, exchanges and partnerships between member countries. Diana Marsh, Chief Executive of SOUNZ Centre for New Zealand Music, is the newly appointed President of IAMIC, and the first person from outside Europe and the UK to serve in this role and does so in conjunction with her work at SOUNZ.
