David Gordon

Growing up on the Kapiti Coast, David Gordon completed an MMus(Hons) degree at Auckland University, and an MA in Arts Administration at the City University, London. His career has taken in music teaching positions in Hawkes Bay, London, Wellington and Auckland, and a three year stint with Chamber Music New Zealand. Until 2012 he spent the previous 16 years at Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland where as Head of Music and then Performing Arts Director, many of his choral music compositions were written and his choirs were regular finalists in the Big Sing.

In 2012 he moved to Melbourne, Australia, to take up a position as Head of Choral Music and Keyboard Studies at Haileybury, one of Australia's largest private schools. He also sings with the Melbourne Chamber Choir.
