Steven Booth

Composer, Arranger, Performer

Biography

Hailing from the UK, Steven Booth is an active Brass Band conductor, composer, arranger and baritone horn soloist. He conducted one of New Zealand’s top A-Grade bands, Waitakere Auckland Brass, for eight years upon his arrival to NZ, stepping down due to work commitments. He then moved into the solo baritone seat, a position he holds to this date.

In 2015 Steven was appointed Director of Music of the Band of The Royal Regiment of New Zealand Artillery and was promoted to Warrant Officer 1st Class in 2019.

Steven is an internationally renowned Baritone Virtuoso, and Besson Artist, having played with some of the world's finest brass bands, such as Black Dyke Mills, Fodens, Leyland, Faireys and many more. He has won National titles both in Australia and New Zealand, where he has won the Baritone Championship a record 11 times.

Steven is also an active composer and arranger having produced a number of works for bands, soloists and ensembles.
