Broadcast of Alleluia: a newë work! 2008

Concert

As a Christmas treat, "Radio New Zealand Concert's Sound Lounge":http://www.radionz.co.nz/concert/highlights/sound_lounge11 will feature their recording of the "concert given in May":http://sounz.org.nz/events/show/654 by Baroque Voices. "Click here":http://www.radionz.co.nz/listen/amfm to find the radio frequency nearest you for receiving RNZ Concert.

In the May concert Baroque Voices performed works which explored similar ideas but which were separated by centuries. It featured a theme of ‘duality / opposites’ … old & new, female & male with sub-themes of ‘beginnings / genesis’, ‘praise’ and ‘holiness’. Alongside old masters, seven world premieres were given, all Baroque Voices commissions, four of which were funded through Creative New Zealand.
