This is the second of three concerts in honour of the 65th anniversary of the arrival of the 'Paihiatua Children', the Polish refugee children who arrived on our shores escaping from war-torn Europe.
The concert focuses on chamber music and will feature the past and present music of Polish composers (Henryk Górecki, Aleksander Tansman, Krzysztof Penderecki, Grażyna Bacewicz) as well as commissions from New Zealand composers, performed by the "SMP Ensemble":http://www.smpensemble.com
