The New Zealand String Quartet returns to Chamber Music New Zealand’s Encompass Series playing favourites from Beethoven, Brahms and Shostakovich as well as work, BAI sanxian, by Jack Body. NZSQ worked closely with Jack over several decades at the New Zealand School of Music - his output includes a great variety of forms from opera to electroacoustic compositions and often draws on Jack’s ability to take inspiration from non-western music such as Indonesian gamelan.
