Archive of New Zealand Sheet Music Bibliography

Every piece of sheet music in the archive was composed and published in New Zealand, although a few overseas items with strong New Zealand associations are also included.

Items are listed alphabetically by the composer of the music. When the date of publication does not appear on an item, the date has either been obtained from another source, eg (1936) or else it is my own estimate, eg (c. 1936). The printer, where known, is given in suqare brackets at the end of each entry. THe names of printing and publishing firms are generally abbreviated to a minium of the proprietor's name only. Other abbreciations: Ak (Auckland) Wn (Wellington) Ch (Christchurch) Dn (Dunedin n.d. (note date) MS (manuscript) edns (editions) ptgs (printings).

Although the collection is a private archive, I welcome enquiries from musicians, performers, historians, and other collectors. I am especially keen to add any new items to the archive.
