Gestauqua was composed in February and March 1989, for Concord Brass Quintet, then resident at SUNY Fredonia and directed by Grant Cooper.
This work was composed in collaboration with Richard Nunns as an art gallery installation for the exhibition Speed of Sound: Motion and Journeys.
