About
Composed in f1984, Fantasia draws its inspiration and its melodic material from the famous plainsong hymn 'Veni Creator Spiritus'. The work presents a free-flowing exploration of timbre and rhythm and is cast in several sections, each having its own distinctive character.
Fantasia was written for Anthony Jennings who gave the first performance in the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland.
