Scored for full orchestra, this work is a revised and re-titled version of Ground Rules, which was commissioned and performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra for the concert celebrating the 80th birthday of composer, Douglas Lilburn in October 1995. Harry's Ramble was performed by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra in May 1997.
