About

This piece started out as a sketch in December 2012, inspired by the script for "Charlie's Farm" which was still a year away from shooting. The text is drawn from the caliginous persona of the film's protagonist. I recorded Pepe Becker singing all seven female vocal parts of the initial sketch, then refined it for a March private premiere in Los Angeles, with singers from the LA Master Chorale. The recordings of Pepe singing the original sketch were good enough that they're featured in key scenes of "Charlie's Farm", which is now in final post-production stages and set for release in September 2014. 20 years after wowing New Zealand concert audiences, Pepe's voice will be literally thrilling Hollywood.
