About
This work was written for three students from Westlake Girls High School who had asked if I had any music for six hands on one piano.
The piece was written while on holiday in the USA. During a train trip from New Orleans to Houston, I was working on the music (on my laptop) and I suddenly realized how well the music provided a soundtrack for that mode of travel. The steady rhythms of the music seemed to counterpoint the steady movement of the train perfectly. Hence the title!
