The Witches Spell is a fun work for choirs of all ages. It was first performed at my son’s primary school in Norwich in 1996. Later a version for two mad sopranos was performed in Cheltenham, UK by duo dolcetini and then more recently in 2015 by Viva la Musica conducted by Ingrid Prosser.
The Witches Spell tells the story of an evil goblin conjured from the pot by three witches – “Anchovies, Eagles, Badgers and Beagles”. The goblin once released dances around the room creating mischief and mayhem until the sun melts him. But fear not he still has the last laugh!
