About
The Lamb was commissioned by Kate De Goldi to celebrate the birthday of her sister, Margaret Mary. It was composed for Margaret Mary (soprano) and Clare (a third sister and mezzo soprano) to perform with Kate at the piano. It is a setting of one of their favourite poems by William Blake, from the Songs of Innocence (1789).
