About
This is a vignette for double reed trio experimenting with post-tonality and interplay between the instruments. I wanted to make this to be a 'journey' of sorts of between the two oboes and bassoon. The journey is characterized by interlocking lines tapering through consonances and dissonances, meandering toward the abstract 'morrowkind'. This is a work for young double reed players who want an introduction to contemporary chamber music and seek a colourful adventure. I was partly by the music of Paul Hindemith with his pairing of progressive tonality with fugal elements.
