About
Serene Song for clavichord (or piano) solo features a repeated cycle of chords presented solely on the instrument’s white notes and heard of the whole of its range. Progressively shorter cycles follow, the piece eventually coming to rest at the mid-point of the original 15-beat, 100-note cycle.
Serene Song was composed for the Daniel Blitz Clavichord Project in September 2017 in Xinzheng, Henan, China.
