About

The Ducks was originally composed in late 2019 after a visit to the Queen's Gardens in Nelson, New Zealand. The playfulness of the newborn ducklings inspired the lively feel of the piece. Two main melodic themes in the piece represent the little ducklings and their mothers/fathers respectively, with both themes intertwining at the end to represent all of the ducks enjoying their summer's day together out on the water.
