In Philip Norman’s ‘Art is Our Cause’ (words by Stuart Hoar) the art world motivations of progressives and conservatives alike are pitted against one another. The work, performed in this Resound film by the composer-conducted Jubilate Singers and select Christchurch instrumentalists, appeared in concert after Norman’s ‘The Pleasure Garden’ at The Piano last September.
