About
A Music Everywhere was originally a work composed by Georgina Palmer in 2020 for SSA choir, two violins and piano, using the text from the poem “Music” by Bessie Rayner Parkes as lyrics. Later that year, the work won the SOUNZ Big Song Choral Composition Competition for New Zealand secondary school students. A Music Everywhere was recorded by Nelson College for Girls’ students in November 2020 and has since been played on Concert FM and performed at events around the Nelson/Tasman region. Now, the work has been arranged for a full brass band as a celebration of the joy and prosperity that music brings to us.
