About
Quiet Music I and II explore the low register and soft pedal of the piano. The impetus for the pieces was two friends who have developed extreme sensitivity to sound but who might be able to listen to music which is very quiet and low. In Quiet Music I the sustain pedal binds sound layers together while Quiet Music II is, with the exception of a few bars, to be played without sustain pedal.
