About
Inspired by a painting of the holocaust by Felix Nussbaum. The instruments used are the same as in the painting. The solo violin represents the voice of the Jews, sometimes screaming. The Bass Drum is the Nazi violence. The march at the end is a funeral procession developed from a folk tune that was sung by the Jews as they entered the gas chambers.
