Can you tell us a bit about your family, kids, where you're from etc?

My hubby Dries, and I live in Paraparaumu Beach along with our three beautiful children, Lienke (3), Miané (almost 7) and Henning (8). We immigrated to New Zealand five years ago.

Where did you grow up? Where else have you lived?

I spend the majority of my childhood years in Centurion, Pretoria. On the weekends we would go to the family farm in Bronkhorsparuit. When Dries and I got married, we moved to a small rural town called Rayton. My family are all still in South Africa, and immigration is by far the most challenging thing I have ever done.  But we are very grateful to call Aotearoa our home now.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

I studied Photography at the Tshwane University of Technology and worked for 12 years as a professional photographer. Photography is still a creative outlet, and although I no longer shoot fulltime, I still contribute to a selection of Stock Photography sites.

I also love learning and value personal development. My current obsession includes learning more about Quantum Physics, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Mindset and the 12 Universal Laws.

What is your earliest musical memory?

My earliest musical memory is of one of my first kindergarten concerts. I sang 'Die Lappop' a song by iconic South African singer Carike Keuzenkamp. I was probably around three or four at the time and was so excited to get dressed up and sing.
