Prelude for Anne Frank

Prelude for Anne Frank was composed for the theatre work Souvenir d’Anne Frank, which tells the story of the Souvenir d’Anne Frank rose cultivated in Japan. Souvenir d’Anne Frank, created by Ensemble Theatre Company and toured throughout the UK, was based on Colin Decio’s six movement Piano Trio for Anne Frank, ‘Het Achterhuis’ (The Secret Annexe).

The Prelude is performed at the beginning of the stage play.

Souvenir d’Anne Frank was supported by the Anne Frank Foundation and endorsed by Buddy Elias, Anne’s own cousin.
