The University of Auckland School of Music hosts a full weekend of masterclasses, interactive clinics, competitions, ensembles, and concerts. This year's featured guest is Franklin Cohen, Grammy award-winner and former Principal Clarinet of the Cleveland Orchestra, a post he held for 39 seasons.
The event will also feature a composition contest for unaccompanied clarinet works. In addition to a monetary prize, the two winning scores will be published by SOUNZ and made available for sale worldwide.
